My name is Sarah-Jayne Whiteley and I run and own the clothing company Built For Sin Apparel. I am a model and the full time creative director behind it. It was my dream to design clothes and create a line wearable and loved for males and females.
It all started when as a young teen, I started designing the merchandise for my band and selling via the internet. The products sold really well and so I continued to bring out new items, but this time under the name of Built For Sin.
Built For Sin represents my dark and rock ‘n’ roll side. I always loved the clothes that other clothing companies made for guys to wear, but never the girls lines. The prints were always too small, too dull and tame. With BFS I cater the exact opposite and create designs that are bright and wearable by all, girls, guys, mums, dads, kids, even dogs!
Now Built For Sin is a well recognised brand and is sold all over the world. I seek my inspiration from the scenes that I am in. Tattoo, street, skate and music cultures, such as thrash metal, punk and hip hop. I have even had previous designers that are famous tattoo artists and members of bands! I now sponsor and support many bands from huge fame to local and have decked out Pendulum, Hatebreed, Gym Class Heroes, New Found Glory, You Me At Six, Bring Me The Horizon and many more with my designs. |
